Managing Settings for Traffic in Radio Workflow

This step-by-step guide will demonstrate how to configure and manage settings for traffic in Radio Workflow. This will allow you to customize various aspects of your contracts, spot types, revenue sources, and more.

Accessing Traffic Settings

  1. On the left side of the Radio Workflow interface, scroll down to the "Settings" section.
  2. Click on the wrench icon to access the back-end settings.
  3. In the top-left drop-down menu, select "Logs, Proposals, and Contracts." This will open the traffic settings menu, where you can configure various options.

Revenue Types

Revenue types allow you to classify your revenue into separate groups.

  1. Locate the "Revenue Types" section.
  2. To add a new revenue type, click the "Add" button.
  3. Enter a description for the revenue type, such as "Cash", or "Local Agency".
  4. Configure default fields, such as default commission and national rep commission, to meet your requirements.
  5. Use the drag-and-drop functionality to set revenue types as active or inactive, depending on your needs.

Spot Types

Spot types allow you to classify spots on a contract level.

  1. Locate the "Spot Types" section.
  2. Add, edit, or delete spot types as needed.
  3. Use drag-and-drop to set spot types as active or inactive.

Revenue Sources

Revenue sources help you track how much you make from different sources and business units.

  1. Locate the "Revenue Sources" section.
  2. Add, edit, or delete revenue sources as needed.
  3. Use drag-and-drop to set revenue sources as active or inactive.

Avail Types

Avail Types are containers or "buckets" that can contain one or more spot types. When breaks are scheduled within a Clock, you can limit each unit in the break to certain Avail Types.

  1. Locate the "Avail Types" section.
  2. Adjust and customize avails by adding or removing spot types and revenue types that are accepted in each avail.
  3. Add or delete avail types to fit your requirements.

Announcements

Announcements are specific pieces of content, such as promos or news, that can be placed in your logs.

  1. Locate the "Announcements" section.
  2. Add, edit, or delete announcements as needed.

Competitive Codes

Competitive codes, also known as product or clash codes, prevent competitors' spots from running next to each other.

  1. Locate the "Competitive Codes" section.
  2. Add, edit, or delete competitive codes as needed.
  3. Use drag-and-drop to set competitive codes as active or inactive.

Dayparts

Dayparts are time windows that determine when spots are scheduled.

  1. Locate the "Dayparts" section.
  2. Add, edit, or delete dayparts as needed.
  3. Use drag-and-drop to set dayparts as active or inactive.

Programs

Programs allow for content, such as specific shows, to be placed directly into your traffic log.

  1. Locate the "Programs" section.
  2. Add, edit, or delete programs as needed.
